Laurel, Please use this letter in any manor that you wish. It is a story that I have repeated many times to a countless number of people.

I am proud of my Pei, and no matter where I go he is with me most all the time. When most people see him, the first thing that is sed is "what a beautiful dog" where did you get him? I have to tell them as well as give them your web address.
I must say that I am most impressed by your ability to hold each and every one of your puppies and love and cuddle as if they where yours forever. And the extra care that was given to those that had a lesser chance at life, much less to be sold. I was equally impressed by the country setting and fresh air, clean shady runs that the animals seam to enjoy. I can tell that you are not doing this for the money, There is too much love involved. (And yes he was house broken when I brought him home!) You are most amazing. We at my household have only continued to give the love where you left off. Thank you Laurel for your support even today. I truly love my Pei. My address may be given,

Hi Laurel,

Please feel free to use this email on your website.

Just wanted to let you know how Izzy is doing.  (Pictures to come shortly)
I couldn't be any happier with him.  You said on your website that you breed
them to have a sweet temperment and you really hit the mark with him.  I
have had two other sharpei's and have never seen one with such a great
disposition.  He surely doesn't know a stranger and his tail never stops
wagging!!  He was completely house broken within two days and at 10 weeks
old has already learned to sit and lay down provided there is a biscuit at
hand.  When I picked him up at the airport you could tell that he had been
well loved and well cared for.  He adaptedly instantly to his new home.
Thank you sooooo much for the care you showed when he was shipped.   He
still plays with the stuffed toy that you put into his crate.  I really
appreciate how easy you made the entire transaction - and what a beautiful
little pup you sent my way.  Everyone asks about him and I tell them to go
onto your website and look at all the beautiful pei's.  Thanks
again........wish I lived closer so I could have come to visit!

Hi Laurel,
I like to send you photos of our baby from time to time. We bought him from you in August of 2001. He is a five point red and he is our baby!!!!. We live near Charlotte, NC and we love him so much! I just want to thank you again for such a beautiful pet and how much he is loved. Not only does he live inside, he sleeps with us and we bought a condo at the beach that had to allow dogs by the owners!!! He lets us live with him! Thought you might like some extra photos a we have sent you some in the past. Hope all is well and that you are doing good. Thanks again for our baby!!!!!!

Best Regards,
Lisa and David Parler & Mugsy!!!!!

Laurel-

Renee and I wanted to take a moment and thank you so very much for the adoption and delivery of our new pups – Yale & Yates. They have brought so much life into our family and home. They are BEAUTIFUL puppies in looks and spirit!

We were really impressed by Colkim Kennels in every way. In responsiveness to our initial interest and the questions we had about the puppies and your kennel, about the expedience at which you delivered the boys to their far away home via airline, and the condition in which they arrived in their kennels and with the documentation, health records and helpful instructions for caring for them as puppies into their early adult lives.

They have been to our vet – Prairie Animal Hospital and received their 13 week shot which included the second portion of the combination vaccine as well as a de-worm oral injection and a Bordatella nose drop. We will take them back at 16 weeks for the final combination and Rabies vaccine. The vet doesn’t recommend the Lepto for animals here in North Idaho. I showed Dr. Mary, the vet, your paperwork and she added it to their records and was very responsive and cooperative in discussing their treatment as you had outlined. We will schedule the boys for their neuter after the holidays… to give them a little bit more quiet time for recuperation. (Of course if you have any input about Yates before the clipper, he is an incredible dog in appearance, we’d love to know your thoughts! Just know we are not biased … we think Yale is handsome as well J!)

They have officially become snow dogs too! We had snow early this year around Thanksgiving and they are doing well going outside to eliminate as we continue to work on the potty-training.

Thanks so much for the puppies! We wish you continued success at your Kennel and a very Happy Holiday season!

 Sincerely,

 Karin & Renee

Hi Laurel,

A little over 2 years ago I purchased Ghost, a chocolate brush coat male, from you. I just wanted to send you an email for your testimonials and to give you an update on this wonderful dog. After picking him up at the airport in his carrier the first chance I got to take him out of the carrier and get a good look at him was in a bus terminal at the airport waiting for a shuttle ride back to my car. The second I took him out I instantly fell in love with him, he was brown with bright green eyes and the most adorable, wrinkly, and affectionate little ball of fur I had ever seen. When I got him home and adjusted to his new surroundings all he wanted to do was curl up on top of my belly and sleep. Fast forward 2 years later and his disposition is the same but he's now to big for my belly so he sleeps on my legs. He is the happiest, most loyal, fun loving, and obedient dog I have ever been around. He was my first dog and I don't think I could have made a better choice on the breed or the breeder. By ten weeks old I had him doing over half of the tricks he can do now, which include the basics such as sit, lay down, speak, gimmie paw, and gimmie kisses. Shortly after that we mastered speak, stand (upright on his hind legs), and wave. Yes my dog can wave hello on command. Two years later I still get greeted with the same excitement when I come home from work that I got when he was a baby. He's had zero medical issues, has the most perfect temperament, and is just all around the most lovable dog anyone could wish for. He is absolutely excellent with children as my mother has run a daycare since I was in the fourth grade and he completely enjoys the children and is so gentle with them is unbelievable. People often ask if it's ok to pat him or if he bites when they first meet him and I have to joking reply that he doesn't even bite his food. He's so smart that he knows if I have a laundry basket in my arms that he goes past the front door and down the stairs instead of waiting at the door to go out. With all his gentleness he is still a great protector as well. I can rest easily knowing he is guarding the house because at the slightest sound he is up and at the door barking, with a bark that belongs to a dog twice his size, and after he sees its someone he knows it turns into kisses time. I was almost mugged a year ago, and I say almost because if it wasn't for him I most likely would have been. When he realized I felt threatened he went into defense mode and the mugger took off in the other direction after the noise that came out of him. No barking, just that low grumble making the mugger know it wasn't going to be his day. I could not be happier about him, and recommend your site to everyone that asks me about him, which is EVERYONE since he's not a common breed around here. I plan on purchasing a play pal for him from you as well in the future. Best wishes and thank you for such a perfect and amazing dog

Hi Laurel,

I don’t know if you remember me but we bought a puppy around Easter last year in Pittsburgh .  Sal is turning 1 on Feb. 10th and I thought you would like to see a few pictures of him.  He has turned out to be a GREAT friend and family member to all of us.  I have never known I dog to be so loyal and loving.  He has grown up with pride, attitude and confidence that I have never seen in a pet.  Thanks again for sending him to us.  I look forward to getting another one in the near future when we move in April.  Feel free to use the pictures on the website if you want.

Thanks

Paul
